Wind farms are warming the earth, researchers say

"New research finds that wind farms actually warm up the surface of the land underneath them during the night, a phenomenon that could put a damper on efforts to expand wind energy as a green energy solution.

Researchers used satellite data from 2003 to 2011 to examine surface temperatures across as wide swath of west Texas, which has built four of the world's largest wind farms. The data showed a direct correlation between night-time temperatures increases of 0.72 degrees C (1.3 degrees F) and the placement of the farms.

"Given the present installed capacity and the projected growth in installation of wind farms across the world, I feel that wind farms, if spatially large enough, might have noticeable impacts on local to regional meteorology," Liming Zhou, associate professor at the State University of New York, Albany and author of the paper published April 29 in Nature Climate Change said in an e-mail to Discovery News..."

Famous Global Warming “Scientist” NOW Admits There is No Global Warming.

So, if mankind is not causing any significant "global warming"---and since CO2 plays no significant role in warming the atmosphere, anyway (especially compared to water vapor)---then why are people still concerning themselves with "carbon footprints" (which are based on CO2 "equivalency"), and why are governments still proposing regulation and taxation on CO2 emissions?

And why is CO2 still being vilified?

Through the process of photosynthesis, plants use water, light---and CO2---to create food energy for growth. Humans and other animals then eat these plants, convert the stored energy, and breathe out carbon-dioxide---which new plants then use to create food energy for their growth. CO2 is a big part of The Circle of Life.

In their quixotic jihad against "man-made" climate change, radical envirotarians have declared man's release of CO2 into the atmosphere to be a transgression against Mother Earth: Therefore, humans---who are guilty of unleashing CO2 emissions through their activities---must seek absolution by paying penance. This penance-paying scheme is called "carbon offsetting"---which generates billions of dollars on a worldwide scale.

"Why is CO2 still being vilified?": Because, if CO2 emission was not considered a sin, there would be no need for "absolution"---or any need to purchase indulgences through Kyoto-sanctioned carbon trading markets.

The world needs another Martin Luther to nail some Theses on the UN's door.

The AGW Hoax Amounts to Taxpayer Robbery

It's one thing when the despotic governments of developing nations conspire with corrupt environmentalists to extort billions of dollars from America to "save the planet" from climate change. But when America's own elected leaders promote and defend the "man-made climate change" hoax underlying the scheme, their actions amount to financial-treason against the American people.

(Who'd a thunk it? Scientists claiming that variable solar activity might cause temperature variations on our planet? What rubbish!)

Fortunately, environmental and climatology scientists---whose livelihoods depend on research-funding from government agencies, international NGOs, enviromaniac organizations, and green technology developers---are decrying the notion that variable solar activity might affect temperatures on our planet. If that scenario were the case, then there would be very little that the planet's governing body---the UN---could do to remedy that. The sun is beyond their jurisdictional reach.

Thank heavens we know that global temperature variations (both increases and decreases) are simply caused by anthropogenic global warming, from mankind's CO2 emissions: The UN can do something about that...and Save the Planet!

After all, if solar activity and surface-reflected radiation were mainly responsible for climate changes---rather than industrialized-Man---it wouldn't make much sense to demonize economically-developed nations for generating more than their "fair" share of carbon dioxide, or force them to give billions of dollars to developing nations: that would simply amount to global socialism.

Blinded by science? or by socialist politics?

In March of 2009, Pres. Obama delivered a speech concerning his Administration's role in promoting science that was "free from manipulation or coercion, and scientific data that was "never distorted or concealed"---in order to promote a political agenda.    "Even when it's inconvenient" (truth).

In light of the recent ClimateGate scandal, and the upcoming Climate Treaty summit, will he remember his own proclamations when he's in Copenhagen?
