When I was a young, clueless, anti-establishment type in the early 70s, I had a flirtatious infatuation with marxist theory; it sounded like a "fair" and viable socio-political economic system for a large agrarian-based population.

Then, I learned that in any "real world" situation involving human nature, there is often a big difference between something sounding good in "theory" and how it works in "practice."  Free-market capitalism isn't "perfect"---because it involves "imperfect" people.  But it works a helluva a lot better than any other political economic system: to create the greatest amount of prosperity for the greatest number of people, with the greatest amount of freedom.

Would someone please inform our President that history has proven that government-delivered socialism and the nationalization of industries and resources DOESN'T WORK!

Barack Obama, through his spokesman, claimed today that he was unaware of the tax day tea parties. Granted, the MSM has done a good job in suppressing any sort of coverage ahead of time (and the little coverage they did provide was derisive at best)… but how out of touch is the Community Organizer in Chief, really?

This much:

- He was unaware that he was attending a church (for 20 years) with a racist pastor who hates America.

- He was unaware that he was family friends with, and started his political career in the living room of, a domestic terrorist.

- He was unaware that he had invested in two speculative companies backed by some of his top donors right after taking office in 2005.

- He was unaware that his own aunt was living in the US illegally.

- He was unaware that his own brother lives on pennies a day in a hut in Kenya.

- He was unaware of the AIG bonuses that he and his administration approved and signed into a bill.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of COmmerce was under investigation in a bribery scandal.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be his Secretary of the Treasury was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be the U.S. Trade Representative was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the woman he nominated to be his Chief Performance Officer was a tax cheat.

- He was unaware that the man he nominated to be #2 at the Environmental Protection Agency was under investigation for mismanaging $25 million in EPA grants.

For the love of God, there are people in comas that are more aware of world affairs than this guy.

"Racial Profiling"...or Effective Enforcement Consideration?

Why are the raucous protestors of the new AZ state law condemning it as a gateway to "racial profiling" and an infringement on "civil rights"?

I've read the entire legislation and found nothing in it that directs law enforcement and government agencies to apply the new AZ law against any particular race---or to exempt any particular race(s) from application of the law.

So why are opponents belligerently claiming that this new legislation "opens the door to racial profiling" in Arizona? If the law does not specify a particular "race" to enforce the law upon, why would "hispanic" Americans be concerned?

To anyone familar with the illegal immigration problem in America, the answer is obvious.

The opponents of this law, who cry "racial profiling" the loudest, rarely admit "why" race would be a logical consideration in the enforcement of the law. They only complain that "hispanic" people will now be "unfairly" singled-out and "harrassed" by law enforcement officers.

But if the law itself does not allow for discriminatory enforcement, why would "racial" profiling even be a concern for hispanic citizens?

The usually "unspoken" fact is that around 80% of all the illegal aliens in this country are "Hispanics"---from the countries of Mexico, Central America, and South America. That means that 4 out 5 illegal aliens in this country have certain ethnic, cultural---and "racial"---characteristics in common.

Due to Arizona's geographic proximity to Mexico, I surmise that the percentage of illegal aliens in their state who are "hispanic" is probably even greater than 80%, but that's purely speculation.

Does that then mean that 4 out of 5 hispanics in Arizona are illegal aliens? Of course, not. Many police officers and elected government officials are citizens of hispanic descent. However, there is other important demographic information about Arizona that should also be looked at.

It is estimated that there are about 460,000 illegal aliens living in Arizona. This would amount to about 7.5% of the state's total 2009 population (6,595,778). Additionally, according to the 2005-2007 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, "Hispanics and Latinos (of any race) make up 29.0% of Arizona's population."

I don't know if "hispanic" illegal aliens were included in the AZ count of "Hispanics and Latinos", but 29% of the total AZ population---6,595,778---equals 1,912,776 "hispanics." If illegal aliens were included in that "Hispanic and Latino" population count, then that would mean that 24% of the total Hispanic population in Arizona is living there illegally: 460,000/1,912,776 = 24%.

That's almost 1 in 4: Nearly one in four hispanics in AZ are living there illegally!

If hispanic illegal aliens were not included in that US Census Bureau demographic study, then "only" 19% of the "Hispanic and Latino" population in Arizona are there illegally: 460,000+1,912,776 = 2,372,776; 460,000/2,372,776 = 19%

That's "only" 1 in 5.

The vast, overwhelming majority of people in our country who are breaking Federal Immigration law---and therefore the new corresponding law in Arizona---are "hispanic." Are any of the demonstrators disputing that fact? Why isn't network news "asking" protestors about that fact? They are only reporting that "hispanics" in Arizona may "unfairly" fall under suspicion of being in the country illegally "now" ---simply because they are "hispanic."

It seems rather "reasonable" to me to have a certain level of suspicion about the legal status of at least 1 out of every 5 hispanic individuals in Arizona---since at least 19% of all hispanics in Arizona are there illegally.

But, all these noisy demonstrations against the pending AZ law are not REALLY about "racial profiling" or "imagined" violations of civil rights, anyway. They are actually a protest against the fact that America has the sovereign right to determine who can cross-over the recognized borders of our country, and who must leave once they've crossed over those borders. And the protestors don't like that fact.

When 80% of the individuals who are violating our immigration laws are indeed "hispanic"---and are therefore subject to deportation---it would appear that the loudest opponents to immigration "enforcement" in this country are the actual "racists" in this debate....spurred-on by the liberal politicians that promulgate racial-identity politics.

And, just how bad is the (inter)national organization known as ACORN?

"A report from the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform states that ACORN "has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud. Both structurally and operationally, ACORN hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American electorate."

Since 1994, ACORN has received more than $53 million in federal funds, according to the report.

"Under the Obama administration, ACORN stands to receive a whopping $8.5 billion in available stimulus funds. Operationally, ACORN is a shell game played in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of Columbia through a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities, to use taxpayer and tax-exempt dollars for partisan political purposes, and to distract investigators. Structurally, ACORN is a chess game in which senior management is shielded from accountability by multiple layers of volunteers and compensated employees who serve as pawns to take the fall for every bad act," the report said.

The report continued, "Lobbying is a substantial part of what ACORN does. It has endorsed Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Representative Albert Wynn (D-MD), and Representative Donna Edwards (D-MD). ACORN keeps donor records from the Clinton, Kerry and Obama campaigns with the intent to engage in prohibited communications. ACORN receives federal funding yet engages in improper lobbying. ACORN and its nonprofit affiliates do not have separate accounts. Neither ACORN nor any of its affiliates have properly reported their political activities to the IRS. These harms fly under the legal radar because the IRS rarely checks for compliance. The 'no substantial part' test is rarely enforced and the accounts of ACORN and its affiliates are illegally commingled." "

So, now that ACORN is breaking apart it's national organization into different regional organizations---with new names---what has changed about the fundamental way they conduct themselves?

"The national organization is still led by Chief Executive Bertha Lewis, who previously headed the New York City chapter. She's working to institute recommendations from a December report that came out of a two-month internal investigation by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger.

“We'll continue to speak out on the issues we have worked on for years, although we're doing it with diminished capacity,” the spokesman said."

Something tells me that not a whole lot will change---as long as the Obamacrats are still in power.

Racism in the Age of Obama

The aim of the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s was to pressure Congress into enacting equal rights legislation that would eliminate institutional racism in this country. But what exactly is institutional racism?

In practice, "institutional" racism is created by public (or organizational) policies that intentionally favor, empower, or enrich one particular racial group (or groups)---to the exclusion of other racial groups---or is demonstrated by public (or organizational) policies that intentionally discriminate against a specific racial group.

Institutionalized racism can also be disguised in "public" spending programs that effectively only impact or favor one particular racial group---rather than the "aggregate" population.

If you scrutinize who disparately benefits from Team Obama's "social" spending programs---and who will be enriched from his various "diversity" programs---Obama's public policy agenda often appears to represent a new age of institutional racism.

But the Obama Administration is not alone in advancing institutionalized racism. Racial discrimination is inherent in any "affirmative action" policy that gives preferential treatment to a racial group over the personal achievements of an individual---regardless of his/her race.

Whenever any public governing organization "discriminates" against individuals---based on their racial group---that governing body's action also amounts to institutionalized racism.

Universal Voter FRAUD for America

In America, one the most important privileges of citizenship is the right to vote. This privilege is the cornerstone of American democracy and is essential to the preservation of our liberty. One person: one vote. Individual votes are then tallied, and the majority vote determines the election.

Because of the power of democratic elections---and their subsequent effects on the nation---the right to vote is reserved for American citizens, only. It is not a right guaranteed to every "resident" of the United States of America; only to its citizens. Even then---in many States---the privilege of voting is denied to convicted felons who have committed crimes against "the people."

However, if the Obama Administration and the "Progressocrats" in Washington get their way with Universal Voter Registration, all of that will "change."

Public Defunding of ACORN is Patriotic AND Constitutional

What once began as a non-profit association of local community organizations---intended to assist the unfortunate and poor among us---has become a nationwide organization of criminal activity, political money-laundering, and voter registration fraud.

Not only is it in the best interest of America---and its taxpaying citizens---to federally defund such a criminally (and politically) corrupt organization as ACORN, it is also Constitutional for Congress to do so....despite the Congressional Research Service's (politically-influenced) report claiming that a "court may have a sufficient basis to overcome the presumption of constitutionality, and find that [the Defund ACORN Act] violates the prohibition against bills of attainder."
