Limiting Muslim Immigration Simply Makes Sense

"We do NOT Advocate Ending Muslim Immigration"  <---ACT! quote

Because The Left has joined forces with The Muslim Brotherhood, our "progressive" media does not normally inform the public of the problems caused by Islamization. Therefore, the job of educating the public to the threat of radical Islam has been left to patriotic grassroots organizations and citizen journalists like the late Andrew Breitbart...

Iran Warns of Attack on American Soil

excerpts from
Iran Warns of Attack on American Soil  at Ole Glory News

"...This happens as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad courts Cuba with a new TV Channel, hoping to lure them to their side. Wanting to strike a blow to dominance seekers. This according to the UK Guardian:

"Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has officially launched a Spanish-language satellite TV channel, saying it would deal a blow to “dominance seekers” – remarks that were an apparent dig at the US and the west. Iran’s broadcasting company said Hispan TV, the first Spanish-language channel airing from the Middle East, will broadcast news, documentaries, movies and Iranian films 24 hours a day. The launch is Tehran’s latest effort to reach out to friendly governments in Latin America and follows Ahmadinejad’s tour of the region earlier in January, which included stops in Cuba and visits to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador. It also comes as Washington and Europe have imposed tougher sanctions on Tehran over its controversial nuclear program.”

This comes at a very opportune time, as Cuba is very close to our shores, making an attack much more possible. Cuba and America have a very shakey relationship, at best. If Iran could become friends with them, this could start a cascade from the Middle East to our part of the globe putting the problem on our door step..."

"Islam's" Contributions to Western Civilization??

From a great piece by Counter-Jihad: Beyond the EDL
"...‘Let me highlight a handful of Islam’s contributions to Western culture. The guitar. Cough syrup. The university. Algebra. Mocha coffee...’

- Irshad Manji, from her The Trouble With Islam Today

This is one of the most common and annoying mistakes you can find in defence of Islam.

How can Islam itself have contributed the guitar, cough syrup, algebra, etc. to ‘Western culture’? How can a religion, or the Koran, the hadiths, etc. have contributed these things? How can even the affects of Islam, the Koran, etc. have done so? It is absolutely ridiculous to claim that Islam, a religion primarily based on the Koran, could have had an hand in the invention of the guitar, algebra, cough syrup syrup, etc. Which passages in the Koran, or the hadiths, etc. helped contribute to the creation of algebra? Which passages helped inspire the invention of cough syrup? Again, this is plain silly!..."

Ron Paul discusses foreign policy with Iranian state TV

I find it interesting that the narrator refers to him as "Doctor Paul" in her comments.  As I recall, the incident the interviewer is asking him about in this clip was after Israel got tired of having rockets fired at them from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, and their military stepped-in to put an end to it. Inasmuch as I personally don't know everyone in the world, I don't know if there was "global outrage" over Israel's actions, as the narrator "suggests."  I imagine there was "expressed outrage" by the usual suspects.

Maybe Congressman Paul and I just don't see eye-to-eye on the concept of "allies."  I always thought the whole idea of being "allies" with another country meant that you "backed each other up" if you were ever attacked or threatened by hostile forces?  Maybe it's just the Jewish State of Israel that Ron Paul doesn't want America to continue being "allies" with.  (Naw...that would mean he was an anti-semite.)  Actually, Ron Paul believes that MOST ALL conflicts throughout the world are "none of our business."
Ron Paul's ideological policy of non-interventionism in foreign affairs sometimes seems akin to not getting "involved" in preventing a rape in progress in a nearby alleyway unless the victim happens to be your mother, wife, or daughter.  And even then, you should first try using diplomacy with the rapist---before you pull out your gun.

Is it "Islamophobia"...or rational and reasonable "concern"?

The word (and suffix) "phobia" was originally used by psychologists to denote "an irrational fear" of some object, substance, animal, situation, person(s), or place...etc. The key word in that definition was "irrational": meaning a lack of rational or reasonable basis for the fear.  However, from the psychologist's point of view, it is still very reasonable and rational to experience fear---or to be concerned with---certain "things", people, or situations that are dangerous (i.e. pose a threat to life, limb, family, or property): it simply means your instinctual drive for self-survival (or "genetic survival") is engaged with your intellect.

Over the last few decades, however, usage of the suffix "phobia" was appropriated and distorted by political activists to mean: " irrational fear and/or hostility, prejudice, or hatred of." The intended meaning of any word created with the suffix "phobia" is now rather fuzzy; hostility is not the same as fear; prejudice is not the same as hatred; cognition is not the same as action.

In the public arena, usage of the term "Islamophobia" is very much in vogue these days . So, let's take an objective look at the veracity of the term---as it is often used by "Progressives" and Islamists today: in reference to criticizisms of the ideology of Islam or the spread of Islam throughout the world.  Is it now irrational to question or opine?

Or conversely, is it actually reasonable and rational for non-Muslims to have---and express---some concerns about the ideology of "Islam"?  Is it reasonable and rational for them to have concerns about the Islamic mandate to spread Islam? And most importantly, does the fundamental ideology of Islam---including its self-mandated Expansion---pose a danger or threat to the life, limb, family members, or prosperity of non-Muslims?

Below are 2 video clips currently posted on youTube (although they may get yanked) that were made by Muslims FOR Muslims. [Unfortunately, the first one is in Arabic, so we must trust that the on-screen translation is accurate. The second one, however, is in English, and was made for English-speaking Muslims living in the UK and the USA.]

Many "Westerners" are completely unconcerned about the underlying ideology of Islam, or about the IMPORTATION of Islamism through immigration policy. What they NEED to know is that ISLAM is very concerned with THEM.

If you are a non-Muslim (infidel), get EDUCATED about YOUR ASSIGNED ROLE as a dhimmi under the ideology of Islam, and THEN decide if it is reasonable and rational for YOU to have concerns---and do something about those concerns; even if you are then IRRATIONALLY labeled an Islamophobe.

Hillary Clinton Pushes to Make Criticism of Islam a Crime in the US

Our Progressive, global-village-idiot, Hillary Clinton, is at it again.  This time, she wants to help the UN advance its NWO agenda to criminalize any criticism of Islam throughout the world---including the United States. Apparently she laughs at the idea of freedom of speech in America, and the idea that the US Constitution is the law of OUR land; not the dictates of a corrupt "governing" body like the UN. I am an American, Hillary; not a "citizen" of the world.

by snipe Posted December 11, 2011

[...] "Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is due to host OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Washington, DC in mid-December 2011 to discuss how the United States can implement the OIC agenda to criminalize criticism of Islam. Cloaked in the sanctimonious language of “Resolution 16/18,” that was adopted by the UN Human Rights Council in April 2011, the WDC three-day experts meeting is billed as a working session to discuss legal mechanisms to combat religious discrimination (but the only religion the Human Rights Council has ever mentioned in any previous resolution is Islam). The UN Human Rights Council, which includes such bastions of human rights as China, Cuba, Libya, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, introduced Resolution 16/18 to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), where it was passed in March 2011..."

Discrimination is not "evil": in many cases it's just common sense and a fundamental right

The problem of absurd anti-discrimination laws are even worse in the European Union than they are in America. As America now slides further into euro-socialism under our current "Progressive" leadership, we should all be paying attention to Europe---and learn the consequences to individual liberty and property rights that multiculturalism and big government brings.

In America, I've already seen individual rights and liberties sacrificed on the liberal altars of multiculturalism and diversity. The further that America shifts Left, the worse it gets.

When I was a young man, it was quite common in restaurants and bars to see pre-manufactured signs that proclaimed "We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service to Anyone" as soon as you entered the door. Whereas some business owners may have posted the sign for purely racist reasons, most proprietors were merely putting potential customers---and troublemakers---on notice that an individual's behavior and personal appearance would determine whether the owner would do business with that person on his property. [Some restaurants still require their male patrons to wear a tie and jacket before they will serve them.]

But, because of the hyper-sensitivity of some minority groups, posting property-right notices like that has become "politically incorrect", and may even leave the owner open to lawsuits. In their place, you'll now see signs stating "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service"---mostly due to government health codes.

In today's "over-accomodating" America, I'm surprised that "nudist rights" activists have not cried "nudist discrimination"---or condemned such rules as "Jim Crow" laws.

The article excerpted below illustrates how absurdly the common sense value of "discrimination" has been universely demonized in Europe---to appease various "rights" groups.

Discrimination is not evil
EuropeNews 21 April 2010
By AMT & Henrik Ræder Clausen, additional translation by JLH

"The problem is that if we don’t have the guts to differentiate between ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’, and to act accordingly, we get eaten. Or shot, as was the case at Fort Hood, where Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan should have been suspended from service long before he managed to shoot 41 people, killing 31 of them. Fear of ‘discriminating’ constrained the hand of the intelligence services, with fatal results."

"Political correctness, ‘religious sensitivity’, ‘anti-discrimination’ — the problem has many names. Yet, they have a common core — a denial of our right to act in accordance with our values. International organizations and human rights committees deal with problems on levels of abstraction bordering on the absurd — thus the generic condemnation of ‘discrimination’..."

"Discrimination means differentiating between what is desirable and what is not. It is a subjective evaluation of things, events and persons, and by human nature we do tend to distinguish between good and bad, useful and useless, desirable and unattractive. Laws against ‘discrimination’ as such — that is, laws that are overly broad — deny us the right to differentiate in certain fields of life, and conversely assign others rights to not be discriminated against."

"This is, as a principle of law, rather abstract, and a significant departure from how we live our lives. In daily life we discriminate who to visit, who to date, who to start projects with etc. We do so based on personal evaluations and prejudices (well- or ill-founded), but generally we do have the right to evaluate things personally and act upon our judgement. ‘Discrimination’ simply isn’t a crime in the same sense that ‘theft’ or ‘rape’ is. "

"There’s an asymmetry here, though. Customers are still free to choose their shops based on any criteria they desire, while business owners do not have that right. This actually constitutes a limitation to the property rights of the business owner. He owns his business, and as such has a fundamental right to do with his business as he pleases, including turning away potential customers."

"The principle of ownership implies that the owner has the right to deny others the use of his property at his own discretion. Anti-discrimination laws violate this fundamental principle."

What Role are Marxists Playing in the Push for Amnesty?

Controversial YWC speaker Tancredo to return in April
(from the Daily Tarheel) March 23, 2010

A controversial speaker is returning to UNC to finish his talk that was cut short in April [2009] by a broken window and a conflict between protestors and police.

The speaker — former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo. — will be hosted by UNC’s chapter of Youth for Western Civilization on April 26 in the Student Union Auditorium. In the past year, the conservative student group has brought a number of speakers to campus who were met with protests.

Tancredo ended last year’s talk after only five minutes when a window in the classroom he was in broke. Beforehand, he was confronted by protestors.

Daryl Ann Dunigan, president of UNC’s chapter of YWC, said the group wanted to give Tancredo a chance to finish last year’s intended talk, which she said will focus on the question, “Is western civilization worth saving?” She added that University administrators and the UNC Department of Public Safety are preparing for the event.

Below are some interesting, different "journalistic" views concerning what happened the last time Tancredo tried to speak at UNC, in April 2009. The WTVD news story excerpted below is factual and presents video clips made at the time; compare it to the "blogs" after it that report what happened. I have italicized and placed in red any Lefty code words used to spin the information about what occured in 2009.

UNC protest gets rowdy
Thursday, April 16, 2009

"UNC announced Thursday it is investigating the student protest that got out of hand Tuesday night on the UNC Chapel Hill campus.

Dozens of protesters turned out to oppose a speech given by a former Colorado congressman, who was on campus to speak against illegal immigration.
[...]
The former congressman once ran for president on a platform firmly against illegal immigration. He was invited to UNC to deliver a speech opposing in-state tuition benefits to illegal immigrants.

Protesters interrupted his speech, stretching out a banner in front of him that read, "No one is illegal." Tancredo grabbed the banner and confronted one of the people holding it.

Then there was the sound of glass shattering. A window was broken by more opponents outside. As the situation escalated, Tancredo left.

Those who went to hear him speak were clearly upset. ""Obviously there wasn't a point," one attendee said. "He wasn't going to be allowed to speak."
Below is an excerpt from a UNC professor's blog, referring to the protest of Tancredo's speech, and as you can see he uses some common Lefty code words.

Defining the line between free speech and hate speech
by Daniel H. Pollitt
April 22, 2009

"Last week, several members of the newly formed Youth for Western Civilization invited Tom Tancredo to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill to speak against permitting undocumented immigrants to enter state community colleges on the same basis as other North Carolina high school graduates. Former Congressman Tancredo was invited because of his well-known nativist views against immigration.

A hostile crowd of protesters thwarted his speech with catcalls and placards. Someone threw a rock and smashed a window. Campus police cleared the protesters with pepper spray. Tancredo quietly slipped away..."

"Quietly slipped away"? As Campus Security were ushering Tancredo through the mob of violent protestors, his toe got broken in the scuffle. Furthermore, Pollitt referring to illegal aliens as simply "undocumented immigrants" is like referring to drug-dealers as "unlicensed pharmacists."
Because of the popularity of the movie "The Gangs of New York", open-border Lefties like to use the word "nativists" as a perjorative for conservative patriots---and they often smear them as being against immigration; which is not the case. There is a big difference between someone promoting controlled-immigration and someone opposing all immigration.

Before reading the radical-marxist version of what happened the last time Tancredo tried to speak, below is an excerpt from the YWC website's "About" page (the group that invited Tancredo to speak at UNC). Does this student organization seem racist, dangerous, and unAmerican to you?

Youth for Western Civilization was incorporated in 2006 and began actively organizing in 2008. The founder was Kevin DeAnna, a graduate student at American University.

Since then, Youth for Western Civilization has stirred up debate on controversial issues like illegal immigration, multiculturalism and classical education that were thought to be driven off college campuses. YWC stands alone in challenging the dogmatic left-wing orthodoxy of American higher education.

Youth for Western Civilization is a 501c(3) non-profit educational foundation. All contributions are tax deductible.

Below is a reporting from one of the typical radical protestors that was involved. It was originally posted at Fight Back! News, but the marxist website that reposted the story is one that every American patriot should take a look at...so they know who is promoting the big push for amnesty.

Protesters were right to shut down the racist Tancredo
April 26, 2009
by Kosta Harlan is from Fight Back! News:

"Students at University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill made national headlines last week when they confronted the racist ex-congressman Tom Tancredo. 200 students marched, shouted down, or silently protested Tancredo. When 60 students chanted in the lobby of the building where he was to speak, police attacked the demonstration with pepper spray. Two women were thrown to the floor, another protester had her hair pulled by a cop and several people were pushed into the walls. The police drove the students out by threatening them with tasers. Shortly after we were pushed out, a window was broken and the event was shut down.

Thousands of articles, commentaries, and editorials have been written on this event. Most of it is a waste of everyone’s time. In typical mainstream media fashion, most of the coverage has completely turned reality on its head. Like Malcolm X would have said, they make the victim look like the villain and the oppressors look like the oppressed.

These ‘respectable’ ruling class commentators – who incidentally don’t give a damn about the most basic human rights of 11 million undocumented immigrants, or the respect and dignity they deserve as human beings – assume the absolute right of racists like Tancredo to say or do whatever they want, anywhere they want. But the minute the oppressed fight back, some kind of horrendous crime against ‘democracy’ and ‘free speech’ has been committed!

So let’s get some things straight.

Tancredo was invited by a new right-wing, racist organization, Youth for Western Civilization (YWC). Who is YWC? Their mission statement says they work “to create a culture that will promote the survival of Western Civilization and pride in Western heritage.” Compare that to the Ku Klux Klan, who say they are a “white rights political organization working to promote western Christian civilization.”

Do you see a substantive difference? I don’t..."
Maybe that's the problem: "Progressive" university professors are no longer teaching students HOW to think---logically---as an American; they are teaching them WHAT to think, as a "global citizen." Harlan can not "see a subtantive difference" between a student organization that's promoting the preservation of Western culture and civilization---on college campuses---and a radical, white-supremacy, anti-Jewish, anti-Catholic organization like the KKK?

Is he able to see a "substantive difference" between legal immigration and illegal immigration?
[Maybe Harlan is too busy running around the country organizing anti-American, SDS demonstrations---and writing propaganda for FightBack! News--to see "anything" but RED.]
Below is another "news story" about another SDS demonstration at UNC---one week after they managed to "silence" Tom Tancredo:

Six arrested while speaking out against racism
Students Protest Virgil Goode and Youth for Western Civilization
by Kosta Harlan April 26, 2009

“Just one week after the racist Tom Tancredo was driven off campus by turbulent protests, the Youth for Western Civilization (YWC), a white supremacist organization, brought former Virginia congressman Virgil Goode to speak about affirmative action and immigration."
[...]
We called on students to boycott the Virgil Goode event. The media makes them out to be the victim, but we understand that YWC is a national organization funded by white supremacists,” said Ariana Lucido, a first-year student at UNC and a member of Students for a Democratic Society and Alianza. “Our protest served to give students a voice that had been silenced by Goode and YWC’s hate speech. We will continue to speak out anywhere white supremacists and racist bigots try to oppress people.”

When Irish Eyes are Crazy: The Curious Case of Jihad Jane

According to her neighbors, Colleen LaRose was a cat-loving, drinker and brawler, who never spoke about politics or religion. And her long-time boyfriend says she was a "good-hearted person" that never talked about Islam, or even attended religious services of any kind.

'JihadJane' indictment alleges threat from within U.S.

American Colleen R. LaRose, 46, is accused of using the Internet to recruit and assist Muslim terrorist operations in Europe and Asia.
By Richard A. Serrano
March 10, 2010 (read the whole story here)

[...]
Colleen R. LaRose, who dubbed herself "JihadJane," was so intent on waging jihad, authorities said, that she traveled to Sweden to kill an artist in a way that would frighten "the whole Kufar [nonbeliever] world."

With blond hair and green eyes, the 46-year-old woman bragged that she could go anywhere undetected, boasting in one e-mail that it was "an honour & great pleasure to die or kill for" jihad, or holy war, the indictment said.
[...]
Officials said she began to respond to Internet requests from conspirators abroad and to take a leading role in ongoing plots. They said she stole a U.S. passport and "transferred or attempted to transfer it in an effort to facilitate an act of international terrorism."

The indictment, which also mentioned but did not identify five unindicted co-conspirators, said that LaRose first came to the attention of the FBI in June 2008 when she posted a comment on YouTube under the user name "JihadJane." She stated that she was "desperate to do something somehow to help" Muslim people.

By December of that year, she was allegedly e-mailing one of the conspirators about her desire to become a shahed, or martyr.
[...]
Authorities said she removed and concealed her computer hard drive in her home in Pennsburg, Pa., a rural spot between Philadelphia and Allentown. She left for Europe and joined an online community hosted by the Swedish resident she was believed to be targeting.
[...]
"She was the weird, weird, weird lady who lived across the hall," said Eric R. Newell, 36, who works for a National Football League sports agent. "We always called her the crazy lady."

His wife, Kristy, recalled that LaRose "talked to her cats all the time."

The Newells, who moved out of the four-unit building about 18 months ago, said LaRose rarely left her apartment except at night, when she would go drinking and get into fights. They never heard her discuss politics or extremist plots, they said.

"We knew she was crazy," Newell said. "We never knew she was dangerous."

A downstairs neighbor, Renee Herbert, said LaRose often had two young children with her and, for a time, lived with a boyfriend and the boyfriend's ill father.

Boyfriend: 'Jihad Jane' suspect wasn't religious
By MARYCLAIRE DALE
The Associated Press (read the whole article here)

[...]
Her boyfriend of five years said LaRose had never hinted at Muslim leanings or attended religious services of any kind. Kurt Gorman, 47, of Pennsburg, said that he met LaRose in Texas and that nothing seemed amiss until she moved out of their apartment without warning in August.

"I came home and she was gone. It doesn't make any sense," he said Wednesday outside his small business in nearby Quakertown. "She was a good-hearted person."
[...]
Authorities said the case shows how terrorist groups are looking to recruit Americans to carry out their goals.

"Today's indictment, which alleges that a woman from suburban America agreed to carry out murder overseas and to provide material support to terrorists, underscores the evolving nature of the threat we face," said David Kris, assistant attorney general for national security.

LaRose had targeted Vilks and had online discussions about her plans with at least one of several suspects apprehended over that plot Tuesday in Ireland, according to the U.S. official.

Irish police said Wednesday those arrested were two Algerians, two Libyans, a Palestinian, a Croatian and an American woman married to one of the Algerian suspects. They were not identified by name.
[...]
LaRose called herself JihadJane in a YouTube video in which she said she was "desperate to do something somehow to help" ease the suffering of Muslims, the indictment said. According to the 11-page document, she agreed to obtain residency in a European country and marry one of the terrorists to enable him to live there.

She moved to Europe in August with Gorman's stolen passport and intended to give it to one of her "brothers," the indictment said. She hoped to "live and train with jihadists and to find and kill" the targeted artist, it said.

LaRose also agreed to provide financial help to her co-conspirators in Asia and Europe, the indictment charged.

Irish Arrest 7 Over Threat to Kill Swedish Artist
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: March 9, 2010 (read the whole story here)

BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) -- Irish police arrested seven people Tuesday over an alleged plot to kill a Swedish artist who depicted the Prophet Muhammad with the body of a dog.

Police said four men and three women were detained in morning raids in the counties of Cork and Waterford on Ireland's south coast. Under Irish anti-terrorist law they could be interrogated for up to a week before being charged or released.
[...]

Vilks said his telephone threats came from ''a Swedish-speaking Somali. He reminded me about what had happened to Westergaard and threatened with a follow-up and that 'now it's your turn'.''

Irish police said the suspects were aged from their mid-20s to their late 40s. They said three men and two women were arrested in Waterford, two others in the Cork City suburb of Ballincollig. Searches on at least nine properties were conducted.

Islamic law generally opposes any depiction of the prophet, even favorable, for fear it could lead to idolatry.

Westergaard became a target after his 2005 cartoons depicting Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban.

Vilks became a target because of a series of drawings that he had originally made for an art exhibition. The gallery refused to show them, citing security concerns. A Swedish newspaper printed the dog-bodied drawing alongside an editorial defending the freedom of expression.

In response, terror organization Al-Qaida in Iraq announced a $100,000 bounty for Vilks' assassination. He was placed under police protection and moved to a secret location in Sweden.

I am hard-pressed to figure-out how murdering a Swedish artist would "ease the suffering of Muslims", or how spending $100,000---to have him killed---would be more effective than giving that money to poor Muslim communities; but then again, I am not crazy or Muslim.

What America can learn from the French and Danish experience of Immigration

The fiery debate in France---about defining and preserving national identity---is a precursor of things to come for America. Because of massive immigration to this country over the last several decades (especially illegal immigration)---and due to the Left's insistence on championing separate cultural identities within this country---"America" is now losing its sense of "shared" cultural values and national identity.

[excerpts from a December 14, 2009 LA Times story by Devorah Lauter]

As the French debate their identity, some recoil
One in a series of public discussions erupts in charges of xenophobia and a lack of national pride.

Immigration Minister Eric Besson, left, delivers a speech last week during a debate on France's national identity in Paris. Ordinary citizens have been invited to discuss what it means to be French. (Lionel Bonaventure / AFP/Getty Images / December 9, 2009)

Reporting from Saint-Quentin-En-Yvelines, France -
It was one of a series of government-run public debates aimed at defining the values that constitute French national identity.
[...]
Host Anne Boquet, the local police chief, expressed her hope that the dialogue would "remind people of their Republican values and to respect authority."

"The debates can introduce that respect," she said, and help "define the face of France we like today."

The 3-month-long national debate series, spearheaded by conservative President Nicolas Sarkozy and his minister of immigration [Eric Besson], has been the subject of heated controversy since a late November vote in Switzerland to ban the construction of minarets on mosques.

Sarkozy recognized that view in an editorial in Wednesday's Le Monde: "Instead of condemning . . . the Swiss people, let's try to understand what they wanted to express, and what so many people in Europe feel, including the French. . . . Europeans are welcoming and tolerant, it's in their nature and in their culture. But they don't want the nature of their way of life, their mode of thinking and social makeup to be distorted."

Sarkozy has defended the debate series as a means for the French to let out suppressed feelings about their national identity. "It's by becoming deaf to the cries of the people, indifferent to their difficulties, their feelings, aspirations, that we nourish populism," he wrote. "Nothing would be worse than denial" that the French and Europeans "feel that they are losing their identity."
[...]
Besson sought to defend the discussions during a National Assembly debate last week, declaring that "the Republic must, in particular, be interested in the link between immigration and integration and between immigration and national identity."

Coming to a multicultural society near YOU: Sharia Law Enforcement

The Shariah police questioning a group of young women for failing to cover their heads with veils in public in Banda Aceh. (Photo: Luis Sinco, LA Times)

Having gang-raped and tortured a female student at the Langsa Shariah Police station in Aceh, the three officers responsible have forever blackened the name of the religious police as upholders of Islamic law, Aceh’s Shariah Police deputy commander said on Wednesday.

“We are enraged by this. We are ashamed by their actions. The shock is still there. The actions of these three individuals have marred the image of Shariah Police in the eyes of the Acehnese forever,” Syarifuddin told The Jakarta Globe.

“They should have been role models for upholding Islamic law but their actions did not in any way reflect the behavior of men of honor,” he added.

Police have arrested two of the alleged rapists, members of the Wilayatul Hisbah or Shariah Police, and are tracking down a third officer, who has already been declared a suspect.

The three officers had allegedly taken turns raping a 20-year-old student in a police detention cell in the early hours of Friday morning. Friday is considered “a day of goodness” in Islam and afternoon prayers on Friday are mandatory for Muslims.

The Lonely, Murderous Sons of Allah: A Psycho-analytic View

A Muslims Against Sharia Blog explores how cultural polygamy in the Arabic world may be producing "lonely, murderous, sons of Allah."

"I am talking about Osama bin Laden–the 17th son among 57 children whose father is Yemeni–and the Christmas Day Bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab–the 16th and youngest son, whose mother is Yemeni. Both men were born “shamed,” disadvantaged, because their mothers were not “first,” or high-status wives."
